Dearly beloved in Christ,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior

Jesus Christ

I praise God for this time to greet all of you

through this newsletter of our parish.

Let us thank God for bringing us safely to the

new year 2023. When we look back to the year

2022, it was a special experience for each one

of us. Even though we could slowly come out

from the fear of covid, all of us had gone

through a different experience. We had passed

through many different situations. In all these

situations we could experience the presence of

God. At every point of our life experiences, our good God was with us. So

let us proceed this year with our God.

This year our Parish Day will be observed on the 22

nd

of January. Let us

praise God for our parish and pray for all members and activities. Last

month we could launch our parish website and mobile app. Now it is avail-

able for our members. I thank the sub-committee members who work hard

for it to become a reality.

I praise God for all your contributions to the parish on various heads. I

thank all the office bearers and committee members who work hard for the

betterment of our parish and praise God for their contributions. I appreci-

ate their meritorious work. I congratulate the new trustees and office bear-

ers and request the support of all of you.

I will be away for some days this month since I must be present at Thiru-

valla as per the information given by our Sabha Secretary. During my ab-

sence, Rev. Joseph Chacko will be looking after the duties of the vicar. I

request your prayers to understand the will of God.

May God help us to experience His presence through our worship and fel-

lowship and thus participate in the mission of God. Let us pray to God to

be with us through all the life situations we are heading through.

Youth Chaplain’s Message

Welcoming a New Year is filled with many

mixed emotions, but at the same time, it is seen

overall as a clean slate or fresh start. It is a time

for us to analyze the last year and see how to

better ourselves in the new year. So many chal-

lenges and New Year’s resolutions are thought

out and have already become a challenge to

us. On New Year’s Day we are excited, with

the same excitement we have starting a new

project but carrying it throughout our lives is a

challenge. The real question we need to ask is who are our goals

for. Many times, we see the phrase ‘self-goals’. But if we see trying to

better ourselves just for ‘me’ we will tend to compromise. Our lives

should be based around God and all that He is to us. God gave all for us,

so when we live, we must live faithfully our all to Him. How much

throughout 2022 have we been distracted and taken away from pure devo-

tion to God? When we set goals to live for God let’s see to it that we can

achieve them. To be victorious in living our life for God requires us to set

our minds on things of the Spirit and abide by the word of God.

During the first week of this month, the Diocesan Youth Fellowship will

have the Leadership Conference which will be held on January 5-8,

2023. The Sehion Mar Thoma Church of Dallas will host it. The theme is:

“Reaching Up, Reaching Out” based on St. Matthew 25:40. Let us pray for

the delegates and leaders of the conference so that it will be a purposeful

and blessed experience. Let us pray for our college-going youths who will

start a new semester this year and as they head back, they can study for

God. May the Almighty God bless and guide each of us this new year.
